Word Commando is an online language-learning game made and operated by Midnight Crush Games. These terms cover the current free version. For questions, use the contact form.
Playing the game
You may play for your own personal, non-commercial learning and entertainment. The game includes cartoon combat, explosions, flashing effects and occasional strong language. Take breaks and stop if the effects cause discomfort. Optional accounts and the launch-email list are for people aged 16 or older. An email is not needed to play as a guest.
Please don’t attack or disrupt the service, attempt to access other people’s data, submit someone else’s email without permission, or use forms for spam or unlawful material. Access may be restricted where reasonably necessary to prevent abuse or comply with the law.
Optional accounts
You can sign in using a six-digit code sent to an email address you control. Keep access to that inbox secure and never share your sign-in codes. If you suspect someone else is using your account, contact us. Account emails are for signing in and providing the account service; they do not opt you into launch announcements.
Signed-in progress and saved settings sync across devices when connected. Guest saves remain separate unless you choose to add them. That action adds guest words missing from the account and keeps existing cloud word records and the guest copy. Check the sync status before changing devices or signing out. Signing out affects this browser’s session and restores its guest save.
You can export your account data, reset its cloud learning progress, or delete the account from Account. Deletion removes the account and linked live cloud records; it does not erase separate guest or offline copies on other devices. See the privacy notice for details and how to request help.
A game in development
Features and vocabulary may change. Translations, pronunciation and learning results are not guaranteed to be error-free; the game is not a substitute for checking an important translation. Guest progress is saved in your browser and can be lost if site data is cleared or your device changes. Optional account saving helps you recover synced progress, but cannot recover changes that never reached the server. You can download your data as an additional copy.
Playing, creating an account or joining the launch list does not create a purchase, paid subscription or obligation to buy. The planned full game has no guaranteed release date. Any future paid offer will have its price and applicable terms presented separately.
Creative work
Game code, artwork, music and other materials belong to their respective rights holders. Playing does not transfer ownership or grant permission to redistribute the game’s assets. Where material has an open licence, that licence governs your rights.
Availability & your legal rights
We aim to keep the game working, but uninterrupted availability cannot be promised. These terms do not exclude or limit any mandatory consumer or data-protection rights, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including fraud or injury caused by negligence. They do not require you to give up rights under the law where you live.
Privacy & updates
The privacy notice explains local and cloud saved progress, accounts, the optional launch list and how to exercise your rights. Material changes to these terms will be published here with a new date; they will not retrospectively remove rights you already have.
